Black-legged Aedes species found in the North American Arctic show overlap in adult female morphological characters causing numerous taxonomic difficulties. Here, we record voucher specimens of each species. They specimens were collected by sweep net in four different locations during the summers of 2020 and 2022: Cambridge Bay and Karrak Lake (Nunavut, Canada), Kuujjuaq (Nunavik, Quebec, Canada), and Toolik (Alaska, USA). Voucher specimen metadata are here published as documentation for the author’s PhD research and subsequent publications.
Twenty specimens representing four identified species of Aedes Meigen, A. hexodontus Dyar, A. impiger (Walker), A. nigripes (Zetterstedt), and A. punctor (Kirby), and five additional specimens of unidentified Aedes are deposited in the Ouellet-Robert Entomological Collection of the University of Montreal (QMOR).
